Questions & Answers
Q:Is there equal consideration for Satellite Auditions and audition recordings compared to auditioning live in the institution?
A: Yes! All applicants, regardless of how they complete the final audition are given equal consideration for admission. However, we encourage applicants to audition live in the city so that they have an opportunity to visit our campus, interact with faculty, and experience the enviornment.
Q :Will I be able to retain a copy of my pre-screening and/or audition recordings?
A: StageLink will provide applicants a copy of their pre-screening and audition recordings directly. Applicants are responsible for uploading their recordings to their application or final audition portfolio in time to meet all deadlines. Please note that the Office of Admissions cannot provide a copy of pre-screening or audition recordings once they are submitted in the application or final audition portfolio.
Q:Which areas/majors will have Satellite Auditions?
A:Full details, including dates and the areas/majors offered, will be posted in the Application Status Portal of the applied Insitutions.
Q:Can Stagelink help with admissions questions?
A: While Stagelink handles auditions, all admissions-related questions should be raised directly with the admissions office for the most accurate answers.
Q: What does the “Certified” mean for audition recordings?
A: For prescreening recordings completed on the Stagelink platform, a Stagelink specialist is present on-site to observe the full recording process, from recording through delivery of the finished file to the applicant, ensuring the recording is certified as unedited.
Stagelink will then submit to the admissions office a list of the applicants who used the service, together with the titles of the pieces each applicant recorded.
